Education & Training

Culturally grounded learning experiences rooted in Indigenous knowledge systems, guided by clinical expertise, and dedicated to advancing Indigenous wellness.

The Weaving Wellness Centre (WWC) delivers customized education and training programs for organizations, teams, and communities seeking to build capacity in areas of Indigenous mental health and wellness. Our training is designed and facilitated by Indigenous and non-Indigenous clinicians and educators who bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to every session. Each offering can be tailored to the specific context, sector, and learning needs of the organization.

Our trainings are strength-based, experiential, and immediately applicable, equipping learners with practical tools and frameworks they can use in their day-to-day work. We use experiential exercises, case scenarios, cultural storytelling, and reflective practice to ensure learning is meaningful and lasting.

Stackable Training Series

Our offerings work as standalone training sessions or combined into cohesive multi-session series. Bundling sessions creates a richer, more sustained learning experience and is often the most cost-effective approach for organizations with ongoing training needs or annual professional development commitments.

We work with you to sequence sessions thoughtfully; building on earlier learning, allowing time for integration between sessions, and tailoring case scenarios and discussion to your sector and team.

A typical training series runs over 2-4 months with sessions delivered weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

Community is Culture

Community is Culture is an interactive, culturally grounded breakout session that explores Indigenous mental health through connection, shared knowledge, and collective care. Rooted in the understanding that wellness is relational, this session creates space for reflection, story, and practical tools that participants can carry into their communities, organizations, and events.
