Sam Seon

Associate | Social Service Worker

Sam (they/them) is a non-Indigenous Torontonian, born and raised in Tkoronto, with family roots in Greece, Barbados, and Scotland.  Sam holds a Specialist degree from the University of Toronto and is a graduate of the Social Service Worker Program at George Brown College. They are registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and have experience supporting at-risk youth, Métis children and families, and Neurodivergent teens and young adults.

Sam approaches their work with a deep sense of compassion, curiosity, and care, creating a safe and welcoming space for clients to explore their mental health and wellness. They believe that every person carries strength and resilience, and are committed to walking alongside clients as they navigate challenges, growth, and healing. In their practice, Sam draws on holistic, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and strength-based approaches. They honour Indigenous ways of knowing and are committed to offering culturally safe care, while continuously learning and growing in their work.

At Weaving Wellness Centre, Sam offers supportive counselling and coaching, with a special focus on supporting ADHD’ers and folks on the Autism Spectrum. They also lead community circles and psychoeducational workshops, creating spaces for connection, reflection, and learning.

Sam is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and holds additional certification in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with a focus on supporting Neurodivergent clients.
