Nadia Mundell

Nadia (she/her) is a citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario and was born and raised in Kingston. Nadia has a mixed ancestry with Costa Rican roots on her father’s side and Métis roots from Georgian Bay on her mother’s side. Nadia holds a BA with honours in Sociology and Indigenous studies from Queen’s University, and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Nadia is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Nadia has worked with Métis communities across Ontario for the past six years with a focus on mental health promotion. In her work with clients, Nadia uses a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach that centers an Indigenous worldview. She draws on the therapeutic modalities of Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy in her practice. Nadia has an interest in supporting clients struggling with anxiety, depression, anger and trauma. Nadia is committed to providing a safe and welcoming space to foster wellness and healing for the individuals she works with.
