Samantha Ledamun
Client and Claims Coordinator
Samantha (she/they) was born and raised in Tkaronto. Samantha identifies as a queer, neurodivergent individual. They are a free spirit who deeply connects to animals and any body of water. Samantha has mixed ancestry of British, Scottish and Polish with her maternal grandfather having ancestral roots in Rat Portage (Kenora, ON) connected to the Anishnaabe of Wauzhushk Onigum, Treaty #3 and continues to actively work on learning more about her ancestry. Samantha completed her Social Service Worker degree at Humber College and is in the process of completing a Bachelor of Social Science, specializing in mental health and addiction at Humber College.
Currently serving as the Client and Claims Coordinator at the Weaving Wellness Centre, Samantha is responsible for a range of important tasks. She welcomes new clients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed about the services offered. In addition, Samantha coordinates payment processes and billing operations, working with third-party billing systems to ensure accurate and timely invoicing. Her work critically contributes to the removal of barriers so clients may access high quality mental health care in a seamless fashion.
Samantha’s extensive work experience is rooted in mental health and addiction services. Her work draws from both personal lived experiences and professional ones, including peer support work with young adults and serving as a community crisis worker with the City of Toronto where she aided marginalized communities in Northwest Toronto. Samantha has also provided client care for psychotherapy practices, managed withdrawal services for downtown Toronto hospitals, and supported rehabilitation treatment services. She carries specific skillsets in DBT therapy and motivational interviewing, helping tools that she uses to effectively assist clients on their healing journeys.
